About the Specialty

The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specialty offers students/practitioners the opportunity to provide comprehensive advanced nursing care of adults with acute, critical, and complex chronic health illnesses in the adolescent, adult, and aging adult populations. Clinical practice settings are hospital-based, intensive care, a continuum of acute care services, subacute rehabilitation, specialty clinical practice, and ambulatory care.
