Sidebar
The University of Louisville School of Nursing encourages both undergraduate and graduate students to participate in Nursing research. Student researchers are encouraged to present at local, regional, and national conferences, such as Research!Louisville or at Posters at the Capitol.
Students interested in research are encouraged to discuss it with their academic advisers. Here are just a few of the research opportunities available to students:
Assistantships
Graduate and PhD students are encouraged to consider student assistantships available to them. Research assistantships give students hands-on experience working with Faculty at many stages in the research process.
To find out more information visit the Graduate Assistantships webpage or view the Graduate Student Assistantship application.

The purpose of this funding is to provide financial assistance to currently enrolled students who wish to fund their dissertation research, or present their findings at a conference. The amount of the award will be determined by the number of requests and the availability of funds. To find out more information about eligibility or fill out an application for assistance, visit the Ruth Craddock Fund page.
Iota Zeta Research Grant
The purpose of Iota Zeta Research Grant funding is to provide seed money, pilot funding, or total funding for research with promising contributions to nursing science and/or practice. Significance, clinical relevance, and scientific merit of the research are critical factors in the review process.
