About the Specialty

A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner provides health care to neonates, infants, and children to the age of 2 years. Practice as a Neonatal NP requires specialized knowledge and skills if safe, high-quality care is to be delivered to patients. The NNP's role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illness in neonates.
