For KCTCs and Ivy Tech students working toward their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) can enroll in RN to BSN courses to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in less time.

About the Concurrent Enrollment Program
In partnership with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and the Ivy Tech Community College System, current Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) students can take Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) courses while completing their degree. This allows students to obtain their BSN in as few as two semesters after their ADN with other benefits such as:
- 6 start dates each year
- 100% online coursework
- flexibility in scheduling
- Earn BSN sooner
Students can complete up to 19 credit hours of UofL's RN-BSN 31 credit hour program while still being a student at KCTCs or Ivy Tech. As a non-degree seeking (continuing studies) student, you may take up to up 6 courses including:
- NURS 381 Foundations for Evidence-based Professional Nursing
- NURS 387 Pathophysiology and Pharmacotherapeutics for RNs
- NURS 382 Nursing Research for Evidence-based Practice
- NURS 383 Case Management for Individuals and Families
- NURS 388 Global Health: Disparities and Social Determinants
- NURS 482 Health Promotion for Individuals, Families and Communities
Admissions Criteria
- Current enrollment in good standing at KCTCS School
- Successful completion of first ADN semester at KCTCS School
- No prior failures in a nursing course
- 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Minimum grade of a B in the first Ivy Tech Nursing Course
- A cumulative GPA of 2.3 - 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students with a 2.2 - 2.29 cumulative GPA will be considered on an individual basis.

In order to apply, students must have successfully completed their first semester in their ADN program. Students should review all admissions requirements based on their home institution.
You may complete up to six (6) courses during CEP.
