About the LPN-BSN Pathway Program
The LPN to BSN Concurrent Enrollment Pathway allows Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who are enrolled in their first semester at a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) to concurrently enroll in the University of Louisville’s RN-to-BSN online curriculum, enabling them to graduate in as few as three years. Benefits of this pathway include:
- Start on your RN-to-BSN program before taking the NCLEX (RN licensure exam).
- Benefit from a reduced tuition rate of $385 per credit hour.
- Access scholarships and stipends (eligibility requirements apply).
- Enjoy the flexibility of online classes while working as an LPN.
- Receive professional support from mentors, career services, and student success services.
UofL's online RN-BSN program enhances your ADN education with advanced, diverse, and interdisciplinary coursework to enhance your skills as a healthcare provider. The unique curriculum is tailored for nurses seeking to broaden their expertise in working with diverse populations worldwide while honing leadership and management skills.
With a BSN, you’ll be equipped with the educational credentials you need to meet employer demand for RNs with a bachelor’s, as well as pursue advanced nursing roles including: registered hospital nurse, school nurse, physician’s office nurse, clinical nurse specialist, nurse manager, nurse director, nurse case manager, public health nurse, research nurse and many more.
Helping eliminate financial barriers
The LPN-to-BSN Pathway Program offers scholarships and stipends to support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, while stipends assist with childcare, transportation, and other expenses. (*eligibility may vary based on set HRSA Grant criteria). By alleviating financial barriers, this program empowers dedicated LPNs to achieve their goal of becoming RNs and giving back to communities in need.
