The 2025-26 School of Nursing Alumni Council President, Courtney Albers, shares the following update about the alumni council over the past year and looking towards the future:

C.A. The Alumni Council had a successful year fostering connections among alumni, supporting current students, and celebrating our incredible nursing community. Highlights from this year include hosting a welcome event for incoming students, sponsoring the University of Louisville Graduate Nursing Student Council retreat, awarding International Service Learning scholarships, launching our first Preceptor Appreciation Day at a UofL Women’s basketball game, and hosting a highly successful Trivia Night. We also invested in a new backdrop for graduations and alumni events, and continued student support through finals pantry giveaways and alumni speaker engagements.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about several upcoming events this fall, including our annual Kick-Off Dinner at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in August, Homecoming events, and Raise Some L in October, and more opportunities to connect and engage. If you are interested in getting involved, whether through event planning, supporting student initiatives, or contributing to alumni engagement, please reach out to me directly. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our nursing alumni community together.
